The Association Bernard Gregory has launched the 2009 campaign of its skills review programme: a New Chapter in the Thesis. Are concerned PhDs in all fields who are to defend their thesis between May 2009 and April 2010. Deadline for application: December 2008.

Your thesis is coming to an end? It is about time to think about your career plan. Review your skills and projects with the ABG's programme: A New Chapter in the Thesis (NCT).
What in the world is NCT?
PhD students are not always aware of all the assets they hold from their doctoral education and they don't even think about using them to convince employers. The New Chapter in the Thesis leads them to regard their thesis, no longer as a scientific subject only, but as a personal and professional experience, a genuine project they have managed in every aspect and which allowed them to develop many different skills.
2010 Calendar:
- October-December 2009: PhD students post their application to the ABG's web site and send their application file to their graduate school.
- December 2009-January 05, 2010 : Graduate schools have the application files selected, set up the training session and send their proposals to the ABG.
- January 2010 : Results of the National Steering Comittee's selection.
- Mid-February-mid-June 2010 : Chapters' preparation and writing.
- Preferably before July 2010 : Graduate schools set up a Chapters' oral presentation session.
