Cai Yuanpei : The Franco-Chinese programme to support researchers? mobility

This program aims to develop scientific and technological exchanges of excellence between research laboratories of both countries and structured around joint PhDs (or co-directed). Deadline for application: 23 March 2013.
Cai Yuanpei (Ts’ai Yüan-P’ei) program was established in 2009 jointly by the French Ministries of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE) and of Higher Education and Research (MESR) and the Chinese Ministry of Education which has delegated its implementation to the China Scholarship Council.

Calls for application are open to research laboratories affiliated with academic institutions, research organizations or companies. Projects in all areas of science including Human and Social Sciences are concerned by this program.

Projects will be built around one or two subjects thesis clearly identified by team and the work of the PhD students involved will be co-led by French and Chinese researchers.
Their duration is two full years (Jully 2013 - Jully 2015) and the funding is granted on an annual basis for three consecutive calendar years.

Travel will be reimbursed on actual costs within a limit of €1300 per France-China round-trip.

For researchers, stay allowances will be of €110 per day for a period below or equal to 30 days and €80 per day for longer periods (3 months maximum over two years).

For PhD students, a mobility scholarship amounting to €1000 per month is awarded by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs for a stay duration between 6 and 24 months.
