Call for applications: French-German Prize for scientific collaboration Forcheur Jean-Marie Lehn 2017

The Department for Science and Technology of the French Embassy inGermany is granting an award for a French-German cooperation between two young scientists in the following fields: chemistry, health, pharmacology. The award is granted under the patronage of Pr Jean-Marie Lehn, Nobel Prize in Chemistry, together with the French-German University as well as BASF France and Sanofi Germany.

To be eligible to the Prize “Forcheurs Jean-Marie Lehn”

You need to fulfil the criteria below:

-          be a French citizen associated to a German citizen in a joint research project;

-          be under 45 years old;

-          be part of a laboratory attached to a university, research institute or a company, research-supporting organisations such as clusters, located in France and Germany

-          produce a relevant contribution to the realms of chemistry, health and/or pharmacology

 

Application process

It is mandatory for applicants to submit jointly their proposal in French, German or English before May the 15th on the dedicated website.

 

Award

Each part of the French-German tandem will be granted a prize of 10,000 €. The Award ceremony will be hosted in the French Embassy on June 14 by the Ambassador of France in Germany, Pr. Jean-Marie Lehn, as well as representatives of French and German Science Societies, the French-German University and partners from industry. The presence of the two awardees at the Ceremony is required (except for “force majeure”).
