CEFRES doctoral scholarships

Clarisse Faria-Fortecoëf

A mobility support for young researchers doing a PhD in Social sciences, enrolled in France or in a country of the European Union and whose research focuses on Central Europe and the enlargement of the European Union in general and / or on the Czech Republic in particular.

Founded in 1991 in Prague, The French Institute for Research in Social Sciences (CEFRES - Centre Français de Recherche en Sciences Sociales) , is a research institute under the authority of the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs which aims to develop research networks in the Czech Republic and Central Europe, and to fulfil the role of intermediary between French and Central European university and research circles in the field of the humanities and social sciences.

Under the 2010-2011 call for applications, the CEFRES offers two mobility grants for a period of 9 months each (from October to June) – renewable once – and of an amount of € 9,147. 
Disciplines covered are: anthropology, demography, law, economics, history, philosophy, international relations, political science, sociology. Fellows will have to live in Prague.
