The objective is to develop scientific and technological exchanges of excellence and to encourage new co-operations between research laboratories of both countries.
Active participation of early career researchers, especially PhD students and postdoc., is one of the very first criteria of selection.
Deadline for application: May 1, 2016.

Germaine de Staël programme is run in France by Ministries of Foreign Affairs and International Development (MAEDI),  and the National Education, Higher Education and Research (MENESR), and for Switzerland, by the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (Schweizerische Akademie der Technischen Wissenschaften - SATW).

Calls for application, issued on an annual basis, are open to research laboratories affiliated with academic institutions, research organizations or companies.

The financial support only covers mobility expenses of French researchers.

Projects in all areas of science are considered including Humanities and Social Sciences.
