The Pathophysiology Center of Toulouse-Purpan was one of the first Biomedical Research Centers created by Inserm in 2002. Today, the CPTP, accredited by INSERM, CNRS and Université Toulouse III, is internationally recognized as a well-structured, interactive institute offering a productive scientific environment centered on three disciplinary axes: immunology, inflammation and infectious diseases. Based on state-of-the-art on-site technology platforms, research at the CPTP covers a broad spectrum of interests ranging from basic research to more translational aspects and the development of clinical research programs and therapeutic trials. The CPTP brings together a total of >170 scientists, researchers, teacher-researchers, technicians / engineers, students and post-docs of different nationalities.

 

Position and assignments

A post-doctoral research position is available from June 2019 (2 year contract) in the team of Dr Jean-Charles Guéry at the Center for Pathophysiology Toulouse-Purpan, in Toulouse.

 

The ideal candidate for this position has background in immunology and is interested in studies related to type-2 immunity and regulation of allergic asthma with a major focus on group 2 innate lymphoid cell subsets and their regulation by sex steroid hormones. Experience with mouse models is requested as well as excellent capabilities with primary cell culture, cellular immunology, flow cytometry and strong expertise in molecular biology.Experience with bioinformatics analyses will be a plus.

 

The specific details of the project will depend on the experience and interests of the successful

applicant.

Profile

The applicant should have a PhD in immunology or molecular biology and a solid

publication record. Excellent communication skills and team spirit are mandatory.

Experience with mouse models is requested as well as excellent capabilities with primary cell culture, cellular immunology, flow cytometry and strong expertise in molecular biology.Experience with bioinformatics analyses will be a plus.
