Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowships

The European Union has recently published a call dedicated to Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowships for career development. These fellowships restricted to “experienced researchers”, that is, PHDs, provide financial support to projects of individual mobility. These projects must be based on a complete research project during the term of the contract (up to a maximum of 36 months) and must comprise an initial “outgoing” phase of international mobility followed by a reintegration phase within a European Union body or that of an associated country.
The objective of these International Outgoing Fellowships for Career Development" (IOF) is to reinforce the international dimension of European researchers’ careers by giving them the possibility to receive training and acquire new knowledge within high level institutions actively engaged in research and based in third countries.

Candidates must be nationals of a European Union member country or of an associated country and anticipate mobility in a third world country. Third country nationals who have been living and working in a European Union or associated country for at least 5 years are also eligible to apply.
