The ECOS programme for scientific and academic cooperation with Hispano-American countries supports postdoctoral stays in Chile. Deadline for application: 31st March 2006.
The programme is aimed at recent PhD graduates in any discipline (PhD obtained less than three years ago), French citizens or EU nationals having studied at least three years in France.
The grant is intended to partly cover the costs of staying in a Chilean laboratory for six months up to one year (it is not a salary). It comprises the travel expenses and an allowance of €1,372 per month, completed with a monthly payment equivalent to €457 by the host institution (it may be turned into providing housing for example).
Submitted projects have to be part of Franco-Chilean cooperation between laboratories or institutions. Application files should reach the ECOS-Sud Committee not later than 31st March 2006.
