New scientific and technological Cluster in Argentina

A complex that will include in Buenos Aires, the main Argentine structures involved in the development of research, international research institutes and researchers from different nationalities working in various fields: biomedicine, nanotechnology, social science ...

Publicly announced in January 2008, the new scientific and technological cluster located in Buenos Aires (Palermo neighbourhood), will host the headquarters of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation, the CONICET (Argentine research center similar to the CNRS in France) and the Argentine Agency for Research Promotion.

Furthermore, three new research institutes will be located on this site.
One will be dedicated to biomedical sciences and biotechnology, it will be the first institute of the Max Planck society in South America.
Another one will be devoted to the humanities and social sciences.
The third will focus on sciences and technology.
Also scheduled, auditoriums and a Museum of Science.

Ambitious project dedicated to research and technology development, this Cluster is intended as an example of "sustainable architecture" (use of solar panels, water recycling ...).
