Like very year, the Ile-de-France Regional Council has made its call for proposals and applications for PhD and postdoc grants. Respective deadlines: 15 and 30 May 2007.
Ile-de-France Region research grant recipients are allocated a net monthly stipend of about 1,350 €. This amount is part of the total 2,600 € paid by the Region to the host institution, which is in charge of paying the young researcher’s salary on a 36-month fixed-term contract.

Postdocs receive a net monthly stipend of about 2,100 €, a portion of the 4,000 € total the Region pays the host institution, which is in charge of paying the young researcher’s salary on a 12- to 18-month fixed-term contract.

The targeted research themes and main areas of interest, as well as complete instructions as how to respond to these calls for projects are available on the Region’s website.

In any event, Doctoral Schools and host institutions should file their applications with the Regional Council by 15 May 2007 for PhD grants, and by 30 May 2007 for postdoc grants.

In 2006, the Ile-de-France Regional Council financed 77 PhD research grants and 76 postdoc research grants for a total of over 11 million euros.
