DAAD provides every year financial support to nearly 70000 students, trainees, graduates, PhDs, researchers and teachers, germans as foreigners, as part of more than 200 programs.

The Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD) is the largest German organization of support for international mobility in the field of higher education and research. 

At the European level, the DAAD acts as the German national agency for the management and implementation of some European programmes of mobility and university cooperation as Erasmus.

Its Paris office, in charge of the Franco-German cooperation, has now a new website.
As PhD student or Postdoc. registered in France, you have a series of scholarship programs at your disposal: long and short-term research grants, post-doctoral program DAAD / Roche Diagnostics GmbH…
Conditions (duration, amount of financial support, etc.), and application file for each program are available under the section "Bourses" (only available in French)

Furthermore, the DAAD is involved in Procope bilateral program (read also, our article updated on April 1st, 2009).

DAAD is also a world-wide network integrating former and current fellows and offering a series of programs and services ( seminars, discussion forums, and etc.).
