The Franco-Irish Ulysses Programme

Clarisse Fortecoƫf

The objective is to develop scientific and technological exchanges of excellence and to encourage new co-operations between research laboratories of both countries.

The Ulysses programme is implemented in Ireland by the IRCSET (Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology) and in France, by the Ministries of Foreign and European Affairs (ministères des Affaires étrangères et européennes - MAEE) and of Higher Education and Research (l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche - MESR).

The call for applications is open to research centers affiliated with an academic institution, research institute or facility or R&D unit of a private company.

Projects in all areas of science will be considered with the exception of clinical medicine.

The active participation and mobility of young researchers, particularly PhD candidates and post-docs is one of the primary selection criteria.

Deadline for application: 1st of October 2010 for 2011 projects.
