Translated by Cynthia Schoch

With the opening of the French presidency of the European Union, Valérie Pécresse presented her three priorities: mobility, coordination of European research and space research.
Higher Education and Research Minister Valérie Pécresse has set three main objectives for the French presidency of the European Union:

- develop student, teacher and researcher mobility in Europe with the establishment of a European ranking of universities
- better coordinate the European research area to accelerate research on the major societal issues (aging of the population, energy, food and dietary habits, climate change, information society);
- make Europe a true space power.

The Higher Education and Research Ministry is conducting 40 major operations in the context of the French presidency of the European Union. View the events calendar on the Ministry’s website.
