Some opportunities of training by research and employment for PhD students and young researchers in the Engineering and Architecture fields

The Politecnico Di Torino, one of the most prestigious technical-scientific institutions in Italy in the Engineering and Architecture fields, hosts every year a thousand foreign students.

On the website of the institution, under "International Students / Financial Aid", four types of financial aid are available:

- Politecnico International Scholarships for foreign students so they can pursue academic programs in Engineering and Architecture,
- EDISU Piemonte (Agency for the right to university studies located in each region of Italy) scholarships reserved to prospective students - Italian and International - registered at Piedmont universities who have good academic results and low income,
- Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry annual Grants for international students or Italian students living abroad, from Bachelor to PhD,
- Part-Time jobs during the academic year,
- Support to buy teaching equipment as books.

Furthermore, the institution aims to develop relationships with the socio-economic system: agreements with public and private companies and institutions ; organization of workshops ; internships in companies, which often result in hiring.
The agreement recently signed with Magneti Marelli is a good example.
This 5 years agreement, focuses on research and innovation, technology transfer of experiences between universities and business as well as on training. 
One of the goals would be to facilitate the integration of qualified young people in the world of the automotive components industry .
