The European University Institute - EUI

Clarisse Faria-Fortecoƫf

Founded in 1972, the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence is a unique doctoral and postdoctoral Institution in Europe.

The EUI includes four faculties : Law, History & Civilisation, Economics, Political & Social Sciences.

All research topics have a European perspective.

The EUI is financed by the EU member states and students must already have a degree which entitles them to start a PhD.

The Institute’s website proposes vacancies and traineeships as well as links to the Robert Schuman Center for Advanced Studies - which hosts in particular a large post-doctoral fellowship programme (Jean Monnet and Marie Curie fellowships…) – and the Max Weber Postdoctoral Programme.

Open call for applications to Jean Monnet and Max Weber fellowships 2008-2009 are currently published. Closing date: October 25, 2007.
