A funding programme of franco-american university partnerships, innovative and sustainable, in the research and higher education fields

Established in 2007 by the French Embassy in the United States in partnership with the FACE Foundation (French American Cultural Exchange), the PUF Fund covers all disciplines and currently supports about forty partnerships between French and US universities and not for profit institutions of research and higher education.

Beyond the different possible forms of collaboration (research, joint training, dual degrees like PhD…), the program offers various mobility opportunities for PhD students, postdocs, teachers and researchers.

Each partnership can be funded for an amount of 80,000 USD per year for a maximum duration of 3 years.
Additional funding is also possible as for example the Chateaubriand-Fellowships (read also our article) in the case of partnerships projects including the mobility of PhD students and postdocs from the United States to France. You can find all relevant information on the website of the French Embassy in the United States.

Under the new call for proposals, interested institutions have to submit their applications before December 15, 2009 on the PUF's website
