Scholarships for aerospace research in China

Establishment by the CASIC of a fund worth 5 million yuan (about €561,434) intended for the PhD students and young researchers in five of the most prestigious universities in China.

The China Aerospace Science & Industry Corp. (CASIC) is a centrally administered state-owned enterprise which is engaged in the research and development of missile systems, launch vehicles and other aerospace products.

The five universities which will receive the financial support announced on March 8th, 2009 are Tsinghua University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology and Northwestern Polytechnical University. 

The selected graduate and postgraduate applicants will be offered a grant ranging from 5,000  to 10,000 yuan (about €562 and €1,123) per person.
