PFCC: The French Programme of Cooperation with China

The objective is to support scientific exchanges intended to initiate research projects on innovative and high-level scientific topics involving a French team working in partnership with a Chinese team.

The French Programme of Cooperation with China (PFCC) is implemented jointly by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR).

Calls for projects, issued on an annual basis, are open to research laboratories affiliated with academic institutions, research organizations or companies.

Priority areas for 2009 are: Environment and Sustainable Development; Biology, biotechnology and biomedical research.

The participation of PhD students and young researchers, is one of the very first criteria of selection.

The financial support only covers mobility expenses of researchers between the two countries.

Deadline for application: July 18, 2008 for 2009 projects.
