Clarisse Faria-Fortecoƫf

An initiative intended for foreign and Portuguese young and experienced researchers in the field of integrative biomedical sciences.

Center for excellence in the Life Sciences, the IGC (Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência) was founded by the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (FCG) to carry on biomedical research and education. It operates as a "host institution", offering facilities and services in particular to young post-doctoral fellows from all nationalities who are expected to develop their projects and form their research groups in complete autonomy.

With the financial support of the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), the IGC launches its 2010 call for applications as part of the PhD program in integrative biomedical sciences.
Selected candidates will follow during six-eight months, a training module including lectures and workshops led by scientific experts from around the world, before developing a thesis project to be performed over three and a half years.
Financial support includes full tuition and stipend for 4 years.

The deadline for applications is March 1st, 2010.
