Winners: Two PhD students from France and one from Quebec!

More than 300 people attended the event organized by the Acfas (association francophone pour le savoir), which was held on September 25, 2014, at the Coeur des sciences of the Quebec University in Montreal (UQAM).

Twelve PhD students from Belgium, France, Morocco and Quebec, selected during the national finals held last spring, have presented their research in simple, clear and concise terms, before a live audience.


Noémie Mermet from the University of Auvergne got the first prize for this first edition.

Marie-Charlotte Morin of the University of Strasbourg, won the second place.



They were respectively ranked at the French national final which was held at the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1, second and first. (please see our paper of June 11, 2014).



Renaud Manuguerra-Gagné
, from the University of Montreal, won the 3rd prize.
