The Greek Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas

The Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH), established in 1983, is one of the largest research centers in Greece.
It functions under the supervision of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology of the Hellenic Ministry of Development and consists of seven Research Institutes located throughout Greece: Heraklion, Rethymnon, Patras and Ioannina. Its headquarters are located in Heraklion, Crete. On the website of FORTH, you will find links to the websites of these institutes.

The research and technological directions of the Foundation cover major areas of scientific, social, and economic interest, such as: Computer Sciences, Molecular Biology, Telecommunications, Medical Engineering, Microelectronics, Robotics, Biotechnology, Materials, Chemical and Biological Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Technologies, Bioinformatics as well as Historical and Cultural Studies.

Furthermore, the Science and Technology Park of Crete (STEP-C) is also, an initiative of FORTH, in support of the diffusion of the technical knowledge (know-how) accumulated within the Academic Community and Research Institutes and in order to create a third development pole in Crete, next to the agriculture and the tourist industry.

In the section "News", you can check out directly the job opportunities proposed by each research institute. However, only the Institute of Computer Science currently seems to propose some ones. Note also that application deadlines are not always indicated. Hence the difficulty of determining their relevance.
