A comprehensive resource for information about higher education and financial supports in Norway. is a non-commercial website developed and maintained by The Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Higher Education (SIU) and a public administrative body under the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research (KD).

You will find on this website useful information including the Norwegian higher education system, the courses and programs (Ph.D. programs ...), tuition and scholarships, as well as practical information about living in Norway.

In the section related to the scholarships, you can view the different available financial supports according to your country of origin (Europe, USA...).
Among the possibilities for French nationals, we have the mobility program for PhD students and young researchers launched in 2009: Yggdrasil.
The closing date for submission of applications is in the spring (February/March) for research stays (from 1 - 10 months) commencing at the earliest in the autumn of the same year.
To learn more about this programme, you can visit the website of the Research Council of Norway (please see our article dated May 17, 2010).

Also interesting, the section "Videos" where people can submit a video about their experience as an international student in Norway and win a prize.
