Based on researchers' mobility, this program aims to promote the exchange of expertise and research practices between Argentina and France, through the creation and the consolidation of sustainable partnerships between academic institutions and research organizations in both countries. Application deadline: June 15, 2015.

Bernardo Houssay Program has been created in 2009 by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development (MAEDI) and the Ministry of National Education and Higher Education and Research (MENESR) represented by the the French Embassy in Argentina in cooperation with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of the Republic of Argentina (MINCyT) and the Argentinean National Committee for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET).

It finances post-doctorate researchers’ mobility (10 years maximum after a thesis) over a period from 3 to12 months in the framework of common research programs.

From last year, it also supports the doctorate students’ mobility under the same conditions, but only from France to Argentina and in a more limited way, since this program is still mainly for post-doctorate students.

French young researchers will receive a monthly grant of CONICET (for more information, please click here)

The CONICET will allocate an annual sum of AR $ 25,000 (twenty-five thousand Argentine pesos) to cover accomodation costs or the proportional amount to the stay period in Argentina for doctoral or postdoctoral stays to be held in Buenos Aires. In the case of a traineeship in Ushuaia, an accomodation will be made available.

An additional contribution of AR $ 1,000 per month will be provided by the MINCyT.
