The French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food, and the Environment (INRAE) is a public research establishment. You will be welcomed at the INRAE Research Center of Bordeaux Nouvelle-Aquitaine with activities located at the “Mycology and Food safety” research unit (UR 1264 MycSA, https://www6.bordeaux-aquitaine.inra.fr/mycsa_eng/). The INRAE Research center of Bordeaux Nouvelle-Aquitaine offers an excellent international, dynamic and stimulating scientific campus with more than 400 researchers working in 9 Research Units.
The successful candidate will work within the framework of an ANR-funded collaborative project: "StilDeTox - Stilbenoids as promising environment-friendly natural products to minimize the contamination of wheat and grapevine with toxigenic fungi and associated mycotoxins"

Poste et missions

You will be in charge of the comprehensive analysis of the disorders induced in fungal metabolism by active stilbenoids and stilbenoid extracts isolated from vine co-products. The successful candidate will use metabolomic data to identify key candidate genes potentially involved in the regulation of the biosynthesis of mycotoxins and will be in charge of functional genetics to study and validate these fungal targets.

Recommended training: PhD in fungal genetic
Knowledge required:  fungal physiology, secondary metabolites
Skills sought: rigour, scientific curiosity, ability to work independently and to take initiative, ability to write and communicate orally in English.


Within a year, the recruited person should provide knowledge in the comprehension of the transcriptional regulation of the biosynthesis of mycotoxins produced pathogenic fungi induced by stilbenoid exposure.
