Employeur

The CRBM is a leading research institute in biochemistry and cell biology in the south of France. It is located on a multidisciplinary campus of the CNRS in Montpellier. Research at the institute covers fundamental and translational aspects of biology, with focus on: cell division, adhesion and signaling, ene regulation and systems biology. It is composed of 17 research groups, bringing together 170 staff members and students. CRBM benefits from state-of-the-art platforms dedicated to imaging, proteomics, animal facilities, deep sequencing and transcriptomics, FACS sorting, and histology through the Montpellier BioCampus network.

Poste et missions

Project title: oncogenic kinase regulation by its unstructured region

The "cancer cell signalling" team aims at understanding how deregulation of oncogenic kinases promotes epithelial cancer invasion and use this information to develop novel points of therapeutic intervention. The aim of the proposed project aims at deciphering an important mechanism of oncogenic kinase regulation by its unstructured region. The candidate will address this novel mechanism by combining a novel synthetic library screening approach with NMR, phosphoproteomic and optogenetic methods.

Selected publications: Aponte et al  Oncogene (2021) ; Sirvent et al Cancers (2020) ; Lecointre et al Structure (2018); Jeitany et al EMBO Mol Med (2018) ; Imjeti et al PNAS (2017); Arbesú et al Structure (2017); Chevalier et al Nat Commun (2016) ; Maffei et al Structure (2015); Naudin et al Nat Commun (2014).
