The position will be held in the Biology of the Neuromuscular Diseases laboratory at Institut Mondor in Créteil. The team is composed of more than 100 scientists and clinicians from 9 different nationalities working on the resolution of muscle developmental and pathological mechanisms. The team is located at the medical faculty in the Mondor campus and is in direct proximity to Paris and nature (~ 12 km in the southeast or Paris, metro line 8, 25 min from Place de la Nation, ~ 8 km from Bois de Vincennes).

Poste et missions

We are looking for a research scientist / research engineer excited about new technologies (spatial transcriptomics, single cell multi-omics) aiming at resolving the molecular mechanisms of human diseases. The successful candidate will perform multi-scale omics experiments for disease triggers discovery and translational research science at the interface of clinical development for treatment of neuromuscular diseases. We expect that targeted therapy approaches for human clinical investigation will emerge from these efforts.

This is a full-time position with an initial contract duration of 12 months. The salary is based on diploma and experiences according to University official salary grids (~25-35k).

  • Ph.D. degree in the field of molecular biology, developmental biology, immunology or similar field. Enthousiastic candidates with a Master degree, engineering school diploma or equivalent and a relevant demonstrated expertise are also encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated expertise in molecular biology (transcriptomics, genomic preparations, chromatin assays), and cell biology (cell and/or nucleii preparation). Candidates with previous expertise in single cell or spatial transcriptomics techniques will receive very high consideration.
  • Previous experience or interest in tissue preparaton, histology and in employing imaging tools as a method to observe histological features will be a plus.
  • We are looking for a rigorous and self-motivated scientist with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working level of english is mandatory, french knowledge is optional.
