Poste et missions

We are looking for an engineer with a strong background in embedded systems. You will engineer new technical solutions for microfluidics instrumentation development and be open to learning in all areas within your reach.

Your mission will consist of developing and maintaining all the embedded software necessary for one of our microfluidic instruments under development. This includes:

- Designing and implementing new functionalities for the system, ensuring its correct operation interacting with the already existing work.

- Proposing new embedded processing algorithms and enhancing the existing ones in terms of accuracy and efficiency.

- Performing a test-driven code development to take the software project from the prototype phase into the product phase.

- Actively collaborating with the rest of the multidisciplinary team to detect and propose changes to improve the microfluidic instrument.

Profil

You have an engineering degree and a PhD related to embedded systems (all fields are suitable, e.g. mechatronics, robotics, electronics… ) and you are ready to work on multidisciplinary projects. You also are/have:

● Proficient in C/C++
● Experience in Python
● Experience in the development of an embedded platform including sensors, controllers, etc.
● Developed on a 32-bit microcontroller of a known family (STM32, Microchip, ESP32…)
● Use of communication protocols such as: UART, TCP/IP, I2C, etc.
● Experience with an RTOS like FreeRTOS (comfortable with multithreading, signals, mutex…)
● Previous experience in unit testing for embedded software with any library (Unity, CppUTest, etc.)
● You feel comfortable in an international environment and are confident to work independently.

Ideally, you also have some:

● Experience with any C/C++ debugging tool (GDB, Valgrind, etc.)
● Previous experience in unit testing for Python (e.g. PyTest)
● Experience with signal processing
