Your Missions
By joining the Biochemistry team at Biomemory, you will play a pivotal role in the company’s R&D projects. You will contribute to developing and optimizing microbial expression platforms through synthetic biology with a focus on expression systems for the production, purification, and enzymatic testing of recombinant proteins. Your missions will include:
- Engineering bacterial strains through chromosomal manipulation
- Cloning and screening de novo protein expression technologies
- Developing and optimizing protein production using novel approaches
- Optimizing scale-up production processes
- Producing and purifying target proteins
- Performing functional characterization and analysis of target proteins
Requirements
This internship is for you if:
- You are in the final year of an engineering program or enrolled in a Master’s 2 program in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, life chemistry, or bioprocess engineering
- You have theoretical and practical knowledge of molecular biology techniques (nucleic acid manipulation, PCR, molecular cloning)
- You have theoretical and practical expertise in microbial genetic editing (knockout and knock-in via bacterial chromosomal recombination)
- You are skilled in the theoretical and practical aspects of protein purification (culturing, induction, liquid-phase chromatography)
- You possess a theoretical understanding of enzymology
- You have proficiency in reading and writing technical and scientific documents
- You have an English proficiency level ranging from B2 to C1 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and sequence analysis software
What would be a plus ?
- Proficiency in the use of a bioreactor
- Knowledge or expertise in automation in biology, for example piloting pipetting robots
- Knowledge of 3rd generation sequencing techniques, for example Oxford Nanopore

Recruitment process
- An initial 30-60 minute video interview with the direct supervisor
- A 60-minute on-site interview, featuring a case study assessment
- An on-site informal meeting with the co-founders and the team
