Poste et missions

We are looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher with strong background in cell biology and molecular biology for a long term research project on cellular communication. The project is on biology of ageing and age-related diseases, in particular the aspect of latency in phenotypic expression of such diseases linked to inflammation. Research will be mentored by prof. Miroslav Radman, one of the world leaders in DNA repair and the biology of aging. Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences (MedILS) in Split, Croatia (http://www.medils.org) is an international, private, non-profit scientific institution. The reason for MedILS to be located in Split is that this particular Mediterranean region is geographically, climatically and culturally exceptional, ideal to trigger creativity and develop young talents. Teaching, learning, and brainstorming are a natural way of life on MedILS institute.Through the excellence reached by special selection and instruction (e.g., mixing very young people with scientific “coaches” – exceptional individuals at the end of their scientific careers), competitive salaries, flexible and disposable administration so efficient as to be “invisible”, and the perfect services

To be the right candidate, you need to have experience working with cell cultures, have experience in imaging, at least one first-author publication and good communication skills in English.

The initial appointment will be for one year with possibility of extension for up to 4 years.

Selection process

Within one week after the call deadline, selected candidates will be invited for 30' Skypeinterview. Candidates who will pass this stage will be invited for an interview at the host institution.
