Employeur

Labeled in May 2011, and renewed in July 2016, the Carnot PolyNat Institute brings together eight Grenoble research centers with the aim of developing bio-based materials with high added value, from the laboratory to industrial production. As part of the NACECO project (develop new cellulosic bio-based materials, characterize them and propose new developments) funded by the Carnot Institute PolyNat for 2018, we are looking for a postdoctoral fellow for a period of 12 months.

Poste et missions

The person recruited will manage a collaborative project between 3 laboratories. He/she will develop new cellulosic bio-based materials, characterize them and propose new developments.

One activity of the group “Multiscale Biobased Material ” of LGP2 (UMR CNRS 5518) is dedicated to bio-nanoparticle (eg from cellulose). They have now expertise in preparation, characterization, modification and use of these nanocellulose. This know-how allows the team to play an important role at national & international level with participation in different project. Cellulose nanofibrils have been studied in the team and have been found to be excellent biomaterials. Recently, new process have been developped to produce high concentration nanocellulose. The idea of the project is to valorize this new materials and produce 3D cellulosic materials.
The proposal called NACECO concerns a research project labellised by PolyNat (Carnot Institute)
This project will take place in LGP2 (Grenoble, France) for 12 months period starting in February 2019. This project is in collaboration with 1 other laboratory and a technical center.

Profil

Knowledge in biopolymer /bioplastic  will be considered. Good english level is needed. Work on cellulose , nanocellulose or twin screw extrusion and 3D printing would be a plus. Team work capacity, autonomy and motivation would be important selection parameters.

Candidate has to have a PhD in field of biomaterials, polymer or packaging.

Objectifs

Recently, new process have been developped to produce a new family of nanocellulose. The idea of the project is to valorize this new materials and produce 3D cellulosic materials to answer our society expectations.
