Dr Garibotto’s group has a specific expertise in the field of molecular imaging of Alzheimer's and related diseases. The main research interest focuses on molecular neuroimaging, combining diagnostic research, strongly connected with the development of clinically useful tools and algorithms, with the understanding of pathogenesis of neurodegeneration and protecting factors.

Poste et missions

The selected candidate is expected to contribute to the scientific research in the field of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and cognitive disorders, focusing on neuroimaging analyses (mainly PET and MRI) combined with clinical, genetic and biofluid variables, to model of disease characterization and progression.

Our group is actively working on a large clinical cohort evaluated cross-sectionally and longitudinally with amyloid PET, tau PET, advanced MRI as well as clinical and neuropsychological evaluation. 

The candidate will work on data analysis and on the design of new studies, with the ultimate goal to understand the disease pathophysiology and optimize the diagnostic and prognostic use of molecular imaging biomarkers.

Profil

The selected candidate is expected to contribute to the scientific research in the field of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and cognitive disorders, focusing on neuroimaging analyses (mainly PET and MRI) combined with clinical, genetic and biofluid variables, to model of disease characterization and progression.

Qualified applicants for this position should have a PhD degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline, strong programming skills and previous experience in PET and/or MRI data analysis.

Objectifs

- contribute building datasets

- contribute to funding applications

- supervise master students

- establish/reinforce scientific collaborations with local groups
