About Inspireurope

10 European partner organizations (incl. the French national funding scheme for scholars at risk PAUSE) have launched an ambitious new initiative to support researchers at risk. Inspireurope is funded under the MSCA scheme and coordinated by Scholars at Risk Europe at Maynooth University, Ireland. The project forges a coordinated, cross-sectoral, Europe-wide alliance for researchers at risk.

  1. Lay the groundwork for a long-term, cross-sectoral, European support structure for researchers at risk
  2. Contribute to informed policy-making in Europe on support for researchers at risk
  3. Bridge the gaps between national and European support mechanisms, between academic and non-academic sectors in support of researchers at risk.
  4. Improve career development opportunities for researchers at risk
  5. Prepare the work environment to receive researchers at risk
  6. Grow the diversity of actors supporting researchers at risk, in particular in Central, Eastern and Southern Europe, and inclusion of business/industry in outreach efforts.
