Metchnikov: the Franco-Russian scientific cooperation program

The French embassy of Russia provides between 1 to 3 months scholarships for Russian staff engaged in a research project connected to a French team. This program covers all kinds of science, including human and social sciences, and the project can be by a higher education institution, a research organization or a company.

The Metchnikov program’s (in homage to Russian zoologist and bacteriologist Elie Metchnikoff) call for applications is opened until 30 September 2016 at 11:59 PM, Moscow time. In addition to the 1 to 3 months scholarship, the French embassy of Russia will also cover visa and travel costs between the two countries.

To be eligible, researchers must have the title of candidate or higher, and work on behalf of an institute of public or private research organization, or a higher education institution in Russia.
