PhDs have the place of honor at the Franco-German Forum

Resume-writing workshops and advising, introduction to the job market, roundtable on recruitment and career perspectives... the Franco German ABG-UFA branch is going to bat for doctoral students and young PhDs at the "Franco-German Forum," European Recruitment and Student Fair. On November 14 and 15, 2008 at the Parc des Expositions in Strasbourg.Organized following a UFA (Franco-German University) initiative, the 10th edition of the Franco-German Forum will, like every autumn, provide a platform for meetings between human resources managers, international company representatives, higher education program officers, graduates, PhD candidates and students.
The Franco-German ABG-UFA branch is scheduling a number of activities on this occasion in a concrete effort to help PhD students and young PhDs find a job.

Roundtable on "PhDs in the Corporate World – Recruitment and Career Perspectives"
By invitation from the Franco German ABG-UFA branch, several human resources managers and PhDs from companies such as Renault, EADS, IBM, etc. will talk about the various and diverse careers accessible to young PhDs and will discuss the specificities of recruitment and development paths toward a corporate career.
