The National Centre for Franco-Irish Studies

Officially launched on 10th April 2008 and hosted by the Institute of Technology Tallaght (ITT – Dublin), the NCFIS (Centre for Franco-Irish Studies) is steered by a committee of professors and researchers from other universities (Lille 3, Rennes 2 ...) and Franco-Irish research units.

Among its tasks, this research Centre aims to develop and promote Franco-Irish studies and research (set up of scientific committees, support to young researchers ...) in the fields of literature, history and culture.
It is also involved in the training of young researchers.

Furthermore, by becoming a member of the AFIS, (Association of Franco-Irish Studies), you are allowed to present a paper at the biannual conference organized by the NCFIS.
For information, the annual membership is 35 euros (2008 data).
