A report issued by the French Embassy in Ireland on September 1st, 2009. Authors: Lerouge Christophe, Genson AnnaïkPriority of Irish authorities, Science and Technologies of Information and Communication (STIC) represent in terms of turnover, 24% of the service and industry income in Ireland.
This is foreign companies - especially American - like HP, Dell, Microsoft, Intel, Google, Amazon or Yahoo, which dominate in terms of jobs and income.
Furthermore, significant programs have been implemented to foster cooperation between university laboratories and companies on the one hand and on the other hand, establish technological clusters around universities especially in computing, telecommunications, electronics and nanotechnology fields.
