Opportunities for research and education funding in the United States in all areas of science and engineering.Created in 1950, the National Science Foundation (NSF) is an independent federal agency with an annual budget of about $6.06 billion and the funding source for approximately 20 percent of all federally supported basic research conducted by Americas’s colleges and universities (more thant 2,000).
NSF fulfills its mission chiefly by issuing about 10,000 new grants per year, with an average duration of three years. Most of these awards go to individuals or small groups of investigators.
Most NSF funding programs are divided into broad areas as biology, education, geoscience, engineering, math or international.
By selecting the area you want, you can see not only the financing offers, but also the awards proposed and career opportunities in a particular discipline.
Furthermore, if you subscribe to the NSF's free e-mail service, you will receive an e-mail message each time new content is added to the NSF web site in the categorie you select.
