Research Centres in Catalonia

A special edition of “Temes de Recerca i Innovació” collection - April 2007.Over the last few years, the Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya ) has deployed a policy aimed at the creation and development of research centres of excellence in priority scientific and technological areas.
“Temes de Recerca i Innovació” (Research & Innovation Topics) is a publication of the Ministry of Innovation, Universities and Enterprises.
So, you will find in the special edition of April 2007, all the research centres created in Catalonia until 2005 in four areas : Sciences, Engineering, Health & Life Sciences, Social & Humanities.
Furthermore, five new research organisations have been created in 2006 : two in the biomedicine field, one in paleontology, one in cultural heritage and a last one dedicated to water.
The information is mainly provided by the directors of the centres, as well as by the management directors and the heads of communication.
“Temes de Recerca i Innovació” is distributed free of charge. Issues can be obtained at temesri.cur@gencat.net or by downloading in PDF format (documents available only in Spanish) on the journal’s website.
