Funding programs for foreign students, professors and researchers in the field of arts and sciences who intend to gain further professional experience in a Hungarian institution of higher education or research.The Hungarian Scholarship Board (HSB) Office under the auspices of the Balassi Institute, offers scholarships funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
At the doctoral study level, two financial supports for a monthly amount of HUF 93,000 (€ 350), are proposed:
- The full PhD programme of a duration of 36 months and requiring to be proficient in Hungarian.
- The partial PhD studies for a period of 12 months.
Regarding postdoctoral studies and research, funding covers a period of 1 to 10 months and corresponds to a monthly amount of HUF 118,000 (about 444 €) with an accommodation allowance per month of HUF 80,000 ( about 300 €).
Furthermore, research stays are organized over a period of 3 to 21 days or 1 to 10 months, as well as summer courses from 2 to 4 weeks.
