8% rise of doctoral studentships
Fabrice Martin
The Ministry of Higher Education and Research has decided an 8% rise of doctoral studentships: from October 1st 2007, 12,000 PhD students will be paid €1,650 gross per month instead of €1,530 today.Attention, this rise does not go without compensations. For instance, the contract's annual renewal, which used to be almost automatic, will have to be formally approved from now on.
