A video website to integrate the bioindustry sector

For PhDs in the Life Sciences, here's a website that will soon be added to your list of bookmarks on your browser. On line since May 1st, Biotech-competences.fr aims to link young graduates in the Life Sciences and professionals working in the sector. It is above all an information source that uses video to present career opportunities.

What careers are open? How to choose among them? Where and how to get proper training? What are the selection criteria? How are people recruited? What are the career perspectives? Doctoral students, PhDs and postdocs in France and abroad can directly consult professional resource people in biotech companies who discuss their experience, share their passion for their work and talk about their expectations and their needs in terms of skills, qualifications, behavior, etc.

Biotech-competences.fr draws on the EreBiotech network (650 biotechnology professionals in France and North America) built up around the Institut de Professionnalisation en Biotechnologie (IPROB) over the past 10 years.

Note that IPROB offers a course especially designed for PhDs in the life sciences who wish to work in the biotechnology industry, ESSEP 8.
