Are you passionate about research? So are we! Come and join us

How will you contribute?

The conversion of sunlight and simple, low-energy molecules such as water, carbon oxides or N2 into fuels, chemicals and materials provides a promising alternative to the worldwide energy and environmental challenges. The postdoctoral researcher will work in the framework of a large research project (EIC Pathfinder Challenge) involving 7 partners across Europe and focusing on the development of standalone a solar-to-X device for the conversion of simple, low-energy molecules into advanced chemicals.

The EIC-funded postdoctoral researcher will conduct research in the synthesis and characterisation of thin films that act as electrocatalyst for the conversion of small and low energy molecules into advanced chemicals. The researcher will build up a deep understanding of the synthesised thin films, measure the electrocatalytic performances of the thin films and develop strategies to enhance their reactivity. The postdoctoral researcher will then work closely with the consortium members to integrate the developed electrocatalysts into a standalone solar-to-X device. The postdoctoral researcher, integrated to a very engaged and ambitious research team, is expected to develop these research activities to the highest scientific level.
