Position and assignments

A 24-month, full-time postdoctoral position is proposed at Université Paris Cité as part of an
interdisciplinary project funded by the competitive “Crossing Cutting Edge” program of the
Initiative d'Excellence (IDEX). The project brings together two leading research groups, in
electrochemistry at the ITODYS laboratory (Department of Chemistry) and in biology at the
CiTCoM laboratory (Faculty of Pharmacy).
The recruited postdoc will harness DNA origami nanotechnology, supported by biomolecular
dynamics simulations, to engineer precision-built redox and enzymatic integrated
nanosystems on origami scaffolds, whose properties can be spatially and functionally
modulated. These innovative nano-objects will be specifically designed to be interrogated by
electrochemistry in a unique multiscale approach (ensemble vs. single object levels), to
investigate how controlled spatial organization at the nanoscale can favor their
electrocatalytic properties.

Profile

We are looking for a bold and motivated international candidate, recently graduated with a
PhD with a background in nano-biotechnology, chemistry or biophysics, and a strong interest
in applying this knowledge to biology. She/he should be a skilled experimentalist, with affinity
for interdisciplinary research. Experience in electron microscopy (TEM), local probe
microscopies (AFM) and/or electrochemistry would be a plus
