Topic description

LGCGM lab, University of Rennes are looking for a postdoctoral researcher in the field of additive manufacturing of construction materials for research fellowship through the European HORIZON-MSCA-COFUND programme, Bienvenüe+. Thisis an international post-doctoral fellowship programme aiming at attracting talented scientists to develop their two-year project in Breton laboratories. The programme is co-funded by the European HORIZON-MSCA-COFUND programme, the regional council of Brittany (Région Bretagne).

The candidates must comply with the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions COFUND mobility rule, meaning that they may have not resided for more than 12 months in the 3 last years in France.

A 2-year employment contract starting in September 2026 as Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions COFUND fellow with attractive financial : monthly average gross salary  of 4.349 € ((around 2500 € net per month, with social care included) )and a supplementary  budget for research and travel expenses.

The deadline of submission to the Bienvenue + is on 16th February 2026. More details on the call can be found on the Bienvenue + page :

General description of the project

The project deals with the digital fabrication or construction and biobased materials. Research will mostly focus on the processing of the material and draws links between material mix design, rheological behavior during the printing process and the physical description of the process itself.

The MSCA EUTOPIA fellowship aims at improving the overall knowledge on the additive manufacturing of construction materials. It focuses on:

-development of innovative characterization methods for printable materials

-adapt the process of 3D printing to the use of biobased materials in mix-design

- numerical modelling of processing steps during the extrusion and selective methods

-development of innovative reinforcement adapted to the additive manufacturing process.

Application:

- Cover letter, which includes a motivation of your interest and an explanation of why you meet the job requirements (see above).

- Detailed Curriculum vitae.
