NucleoSyn is the French R&D subsidiary of the Biosolve Group, manufacturer and supplier of high-quality solvent and chemical reagents for the life science field. NucleoSyn is well known as a supplier and manufacturer of DNA & RNA synthesis reagents, custom synthetic lipids and stable isotope (2H, 13C, 15N) compounds.

As a part of our business extension and diversification, NucleoSyn is now looking for a dynamic and talented organic chemist in the lipid field to join our team.

Position and assignments

Within a small chemistry R&D team, the successful candidate will be responsible for projects related to the synthesis of complex organic compounds used in diagnostic or therapeutic applications, from bibliographic research to implementation in the lab, project update as well as report and procedure drafting. The project will cover either the reproduction, the optimization, the scale up of existing synthesis or the development of new synthetic pathways leading to new lipids molecules involved in the development of new diagnostic kits. The candidate will also take part in the good functioning of the laboratory.

Profile

The successful candidate will be graduated with a PhD in organic chemistry (or have an equivalent experience) and have acquired a wide experience in synthetic organic chemistry, with a significant knowledge in the custom synthetic lipid field, ideally through additional postdoctoral and/or industrial experience.

A good knowledge and experience in standard purification technique (e.g. crystallization, chromatography…) and standard analytical / characterization techniques of organic compounds (NMR, MS, LC, GC, IR…) is required for this position.

Experience in flow chemistry, in Design of Experiments (DoE) applied to the development and optimization of new synthetic methodology and/or in preparative supercritical fluid chromatography (Prep-SFC) would be an asset.

 

He/she will be very inventive, flexible, self-motivated and hard-worker. The ability to work well in both a team environment and individually with a minimum of supervision is essential for the position. The successful candidate will be fluently speaking French and have good writing skills. A good level of English is also necessary.

 

The working location is in Orléans (France). This position is to be filled as soon as possible.
