ABOUT NLOPTICS
NLOPTICS is a French deep tech start-up born out of an academic research project at the Institut des Sciences Moléculaires of Bordeaux. Founded in March 2025, our company combines a solid scientific heritage with an ambitious industrial vision to meet the current and future challenges of photonics and semiconductors.
We are developing innovative metrology technology based on nonlinear optics (R-SHG), which enables non-destructive, non-contact and highly sensitive analysis of advanced materials. This approach reveals defects and anomalies invisible to conventional methods and offers a unique quality control tool for manufacturers.
Our ambition is clear: to support manufacturers of photonic chips and components in the integration of next-generation materials, at the heart of tomorrow's technologies.
Joining NLOPTICS means becoming part of an entrepreneurial adventure at the crossroads of research and industry, and contributing directly to the growth of a start-up that is set to play a key role in the revolution of advanced materials for photonics and semiconductors.
Position and assignments
THE POSITION
Reporting to the Product & Business Development Management, you will play a key role in deploying our technology to industrial players. Your mission is to transform our scientific expertise into operational solutions for our clients, streamlining and accelerating the commercialization process.
As a true interface between the market and our internal teams, you will support the Proof of Concept (PoC) and demonstration strategy. These technical demonstrations form the foundation that validates the value of our solution for the client, ultimately leading to the integration of our equipment into their production lines.
You will help advocate our solutions' potential within the SEMI/Photonics industry through live presentations or at industry trade shows and conferences.
You will also participate in various collaborations (e.g., Joint Development Programs - JDP) to optimize the use of our systems and disseminate the achieved results to the key accounts you will manage over the long term.
MAIN MISSIONS
1. Customer Relations & Technical Adoption Support
- Initiate, manage, and monitor customer projects by defining success metrics to secure and accelerate the sales process.
- Identify technological bottlenecks among clients (industrial players and research centers) where our technology provides a concrete and differentiating solution.
- Develop application-focused messaging to convince stakeholders (R&D, Process, Quality) of the value of NLOPTICS solutions and products.
2. Application Value Creation
- Analyze market needs from a Materials Science perspective (interfaces, defects, physical properties).
- Translate characterization data into tangible, actionable industrial benefits (e.g., yield improvement, acceleration of new process development).
- Contribute to shaping the commercial offering and defining communication tools for clients/partners.
3. R&D / Product Alignment
- Collaborate closely with the product team and internal R&D to ensure field requirements are communicated and to influence the future evolution of our product lines.
- Participate in technology monitoring regarding new materials and manufacturing processes (advanced packaging, substrate heterogeneity, etc.).
4. Technical Representation
- Promote the NLOPTICS product portfolio at professional trade shows and international conferences, translating the complexity of non-linear optics into concrete use cases.
WHAT THIS POSITION OFFERS
- Direct exposure to a fast-growing, innovative deeptech environment.
- The opportunity to work within a center of technological excellence.
- Stimulating technical and scientific challenges.
- Joining an organization with high growth potential and rapid career advancement opportunities.
