The Shaker is the answer to the needs of students, PhDs candidates and holders, as well as young engineers who have developed an innovative concept in the field of biotechnology. Apply before June 30, 2023!

OBJECTIVES

The Shaker is an extensive program to support young innovators in:

carrying out a sound project (first economic and financial simulation);
creating and testing their technology;
developing a presentation pitch.

In order to do this, The Shaker gives access to:

Lab Biotech, a shared research laboratory located in the Genopole incubator (Essonne – Ile de France, France), equipped with consumables, reagents and chemical products;
the Genopole ecosystem (2,500 employees, 19 academic laboratories, more than 77 companies) with the support of a mentor and a team of business managers from Genopole Entreprises;
access to the cluster's technology platforms: mass spectrometry, electron microscope, synthetic biology workshop, cytometry imaging, histology-ACP, etc;
an entrepreneurship awareness program that is very useful for young graduates who are often not familiar with the business world: group sessions + individual meetings.

Genopole's strategic biotech fields:

Health: innovative therapies, diagnostics, devices, etc.
Bioeconomy: foodtech, cosmetics, energy, greentech, biomaterials, etc.
Bio-digital: AI, software, data analysis, etc.

Calendar

Call for applications: until June 30, 2023;
Preparation for submission of the project to the expert committee: July 17-28, 2023;
Selection by the expert committee: September 12-14, 2023;
Start of the project: October 2, 2023
