The British portal for researchers, supervisors, research managers and employers.Incorporating the UK GRAD Programme (our article published on December 2006) for postgraduate researchers and the UK Higher Education Development (UKHERD) network for research staff, Vitae is founded by the Research Councils UK (RCUK) and managed by CRAC (the Career Development Organisation).
Among its objectives, this portal aims at building an evidence base to support researcher development agenda.
Whether you are just starting out on your doctorate or an experienced researcher, the section “Postgraduate researchers” will provide you with information and guidance for the different stages and aspects of doing a doctorate (supervision, your profile, planning your career…).
Furthermore, you will find information and guidance on all aspects of your development as a researcher (skills development, career options exploration…) and about how you can manage your career in Higher Education and outside.
