Fabrice Martin, translation by Cynthia Schoch
The French Association for Soil Studies (AFES) has a youth branch, AFES-Jeunes. It offers grants enabling young students and researchers the opportunity to take part in international conferences. Application deadline is March 21, 2010.Several times a year, AFES-Jeunes offers financial aid to young French-speaking researchers working in soil science. These are the Demolon grants. The aim of these grants is to help PhD students and postdocs present their research in international fora.
This year, the AFES has budgeted an amount outstanding of 10 000 euros in order to facilitate the participation of young researchers at the 19th World Congress of Soil Science, Brisbane, Australia, in addition to other events.
AFES-Jeunes aims to “federate young scientists and students working on soils and more particularly the environment; inform them; and help take care of their future."
Application deadline is March 21, 2010.
