“Research in Germany” portal

Clarisse Faria-Fortecoëf

A platform of information whose key objective is to provide an overview of the research landscape and funding opportunities in Germany.

Central information platform of the initiative to "Promote Innovation and Research in Germany" launched in 2006, is maintained by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF - Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung). Editorial responsibility for the Portal lies with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD - Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst).

This portal not only informs researchers and scientists, but also addresses a whole host of other players from politics and government, business and industry.

The website provides all useful information on research areas, news and funding opportunities (organizations, programs, databases) in Germany.
If you are looking for a job or are interested in a research stay in the country, go to the "Jobs and Career" section where you will find practical information specifically intended for researchers and foreign scientists (job opportunities (including PhD students and post-docs positions) in universities and research institutes; regulations, work permit, daily life, useful links, etc.).

Furthermore, the section of frequently asked questions "FAQs" can also help you to prepare your stay, alone or with your family.
